Long day care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years co-located with Wulagi School. Wulagi School Preschool staff work closely with Goodstart for a seamless transition from day care to school.
The Outside School Hours Care program provides time for homework, time to relax, educational activities and a healthy snack. Kids play, explore, share with friends and enjoy. Camp Australia also provides vacation care during school holidays and pupil free days.
Two Brave Mentors are based at Wulagi Family Centre to support parents under 25 years old through pregnancy and parenting. The Mentors work with young parents to help them achieve their goals for parenting, study and career.
A Social & Emotional Wellbeing team support Wulagi children in class and in small groups to learn about Indigenous culture and engage fully in school.
Larrakia Nation also provide cultural experiences for the school community.
Experienced music teachers visit weekly to deliver instrumental lessons for children in years 4 to 6 who have enrolled in the program.
The leadership and staff of Sanderson Middle, Wulagi, Karama, Anula, Malak and Manunda Terrace schools meet regularly to drive Department of Education initiatives, engage in professional dialogue and discuss service delivery across the community.
Supporting Wulagi students and families through Learning for Life scholarships, student2student (S2S) reading program and Tech Pros after school program.
The Parenting Support Program meets at Wulagi Family Centre fortnightly for playgroup and parent information and wellbeing sessions.
The Pandanus program supports young families through pregnancy, childbirth education and early parenting up to 3 months postnatal.
